I agree that everyone has to go through that phase, and I’d say we could totally add Ganondorf now. I started with Brawl and ‘mained’ Kirby, but really that’s just something I feel most new players go through. My problem with Dark Samus is that it feels like she loses to everyone. Aggressive characters stuff out her options, especially with how easy it is to get people in the air and how hard it is for Dark Samus to land, and zoners/other projectile characters usually beat out her projectile game. I play a boxier Dark Samus and it feels like even if I’m playing a bit more like the better Samus players like YB and Joker I’m still losing every matchup.
