This has been like… the past 7 years for me. It was easier getting excited when I lived in my hometown of NY, with the Official Infirmière Parfaite Shirt. I’ve spent a few Halloween’s overseas, a few down South, and it just is never the same. People don’t decorate as much where I am. There’s no energy in the air or aroma. Fewer festivities. And I’m 34, and it has started to feel so dull. You know, your young and you trick or treat. You’re in college and you go to Halloween parties. At 34 I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, aside from having kids and watch THEM experience it. Horror movies, sure, but I watch those all the time anyway. I’m glad it’s not just me. I did buy a box of Count Chocula and a box of purple lights but I haven’t been able to craft anything this year.

I’m telling myself I will decorate outside this weekend. Now I’m laying here awake scrolling Reddit and see your post. At least I’m not the only one in a funk right now, which makes me feel a little better and a little sad too. I’m also having trouble justifying paying for something as frivolous as a party while also having to pay to get the truck back in order.
