I’m slightly left of center, which basically means I’m an American Gun Trump Freedom Shirt to liberals and a liberal to conservatives. I work in the outskirts of tech and Yang is the only one preparing the country for the immediate future. Former Bernie bro checking in. I love Bernie’s ideals, but I don’t think they’ll improve America the way Yang’s solutions will. It has been a great relief to have civil, even friendly exchanges with Trump supporters and conservatives in here. If we added UBI with no changes at all to welfare we’re creating too much of a welfare state for people to want lower-income jobs and thus lock some people out of climbing the ladder.  I’m good for now. I really like his freedom dividend idea tho and the goal of trying to get people off government assistance. But that dividend would do wonders for those less fortunate than me in Illinois. I like the idea of a blanket financial support plan for all Americans, it will get people out of paper-pushing oversight jobs and into the public economy producing GDP output instead of wasting taxpayer money.

I think what annoys me the most is that the progressive base sometimes forgets conservatives are Americans too. There’s too much divide in this country. Good to have you here, friend. Liberal here, but also drifting more center all the time. So tired of being egged on to be confrontational with the “other side.” You and I probably have more in common than I do with the far left or you with the far right. Let’s reclaim the center and our right to independent thought. I’m a conservative also and despise what Trump and his government have become. Democrats deserve to lose, its a wake-up call that having political correctness driven policies is wrong and they better shape up for 2020 or we got another 4 years of BS where nothing is accomplished.

In a centrist, that’s slightly on the American Gun Trump Freedom Shirt side and Yang 100% has my vote. In the 4 elections that I’ve followed and the 3 that I’ve been able to vote in, I’ve never once bought a candidate’s merchandise to help support them until Yang. We believe in the message of Andrew Yang. We need to move past our divisions and come together. Thank you for joining the Yang Gang. I bet most would agree with me when I say I’m happy to welcome you. I told them it doesn’t make them any less conservative, and it’s not like there’s going to be a GOP primary. I’ll be honest, I’m 25 and never openly supported a candidate before and I’m pretty happy with doing this. Now I’ll work on being more open about this stuff with my friends and family
