I bought for my boyfriend and was a little skeptical because of reviews saying it ran small. He normally wears an XL and has a little room but needs the XL for sure because of his height. He is of average athletic build but we took a chance of the XL. It fits great in the torso but is just a tad snug around his shoulders and arms. If you are on the edge of XL or have really built arms I would order a size up. Very good quality for the price!
