I agree. Also, many are too young to remember, the original figurine was something hard to get at the beginning (not even getting into the middle launcher; look it up). The prequels sorta ruined that by seeing him as a kid, his dad as being from where all the clones come from. I don’t know. There seems to be little that the prequels did to enhance the original trilogy, IMO. Being born in 91, I missed all that. What I did get though, was a shit load of Star Wars video games and the prequels. My biggest connection to Boba was as a hard boss you fight in Shadows of the Empire. I didn’t think too much of Jango until I played Bounty Hunter. After spending more time with one character than the entire franchise run time, you get attached to them.

There are undeniable similarities between the two, but I am hoping they are able to separate the characters enough for the audience. Personally, I have never been super big on Boba Fett anyway, which is probably part of why I don’t really care. I feel like they basically wanted a Boba Fett show, but did not actually want to use Boba Fett the character for whatever reason (if I had to guess, they felt it would constrain what they could do with him creatively). It looks fun and that’s what I care most about when it comes to Star Wars.
