Agreed, 100%. When I see it, it goes hand in hand with the ‘just one Funny Obey The Choir Director Shirt of the guys!’ trope. She eats like trash, hates exercise, doesn’t do her hair or makeup, generally dresses conservatively (or in men’s clothes because she’s so quirky), and is inexplicably just the hottest, most in-shape chick on the whole damn show. It’s a very one-dimensional way to write a female character too. Sure, we can be ‘just one of the guys’ but if our diet is crappy and we don’t exercise, we aren’t going to be rail thin. We can still be the inexplicably hottest woman on set though.

I mean, my ex-girlfriend was basically like that. No exercise at all Funny Obey The Choir Director Shirt and a size zero. Her diet was largely crap as well if you watched her eat… but what you might not see is that that might be her only meal for the day. At the end of the day, it’s always going to come down to calories in vs. calories out. Right, my best friend is the same. Barely pushing 100 pounds soaking wet but her diet consists of pb&j sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, frozen waffles, mac & cheese, pizza, etc. And she doesn’t exercise. Some people do eat like absolute shit and live very sedentary lives while staying very skinny. They just don’t eat a lot, even if the meals you see them eat look big.
