Not all college fraternities do charity work or community outreach like the Freemasons do. My lodge supports multiple little league teams, 3 different food shelters, we donate heavily to homes for domestic abuse victims, rehab facilities and even the special Olympics to say just some of what we do. And it’s not just money we donate, most of us donate our time as well by volunteering at food pantries and soup kitchens.

Well, it’s not a Good Rick And Yoda Shirt frat hahaha. We do a lot of charity work and community outreach. Heavy on helping others, not drinking/partying. Though at least at my lodge, we have some good BBQs and holiday celebrations. And most of that charity work is done anonymously. The Masonic Lodge and their associated lodges, such as the Shriners, do a tremendous amount of good work. And they do it as quietly as possible. I think the only requirement besides being male is that you believe in some higher power. It doesn’t have to be any God in particular, just any higher power.
