In Germany, one Good Santa’S Pit Crew Race Car Ugly Christmas Santas Pit Crew T-Shirt of my childhood favorites was a desert called Spaghettieis which is basically an ice cream dish made to look like spaghetti. Striped Spatula has a wonderful chili base and chili paste recipe for pressure-cooked chili, but it can easily be adapted for traditional simmering on a smoky bbq pit or stovetop. I was born and raised here in Texas (and I was born in the oldest town in Texas!) and I don’t care what anyone says, I put ground beef, tomatoes, and ground beef in my chili. It’s just too good! Oh wow! That recipe is very similar. It’s amazing how much flavor the homemade chili paste brings to the dish, especially after hanging out in the fridge overnight!

But yes, the chili paste combined with the beef browning is magical. They can heck on back to New England and enjoy their clam chowder or whatever bland crap they eat. Good Beef, good beef stock, and chilies! Try shakshuka – an eastern Mediterranean dish. Isn’t it originally North African? I know there are a few different versions throughout North Africa and the Middle East. Isn’t North Africa on the Mediterranean? I think it does have Moroccan roots.
