A very long time ago I worked at a pet shop. We got our cat when she was already a year and a half – didn’t take her more than a week to adjust. She’s also moved house and emigrated with us – takes her. A few days to get used to the new place and then she’s settled. Back in the day kids could move out at 16. And was able to afford rent and put themselves through school without debt. Wages have stagnated for decades while almost all other bills have increased. Now for many, it just doesn’t make sense to move out. Until they’re either in a long term relationship or married. Most “unskilled” job postings. So many companies completely screw over their employees by only offering part-time hours. And then rotating their schedules so much that it becomes nearly impossible to balance.
