I really appreciated the R rating. I just prefer movies to be able to do whatever they want without worrying about language or violence. Though that probably hurt their box office quite a bit. I loved the Official Covid Medical Assistant Because Superhero Isn’t An Official Job Title Shirt. I’m actually really stoked Birds of Prey has hardcore fans out there though. The more support DC movies get, the better. I thought it was an okay movie with some killer action sequences. The whole police station bit just rubbed me the wrong way through with.

Harley going in with a non-lethal weapon and tons of armed police officers just run away. That whole scene was a bit of a head-scratcher to me. But it has a lot to do with how audiences react to certain things. Men being hurt (or getting their butt stuffed) for some reason has a big part in our comedy culture. I don’t get it, but yeah, most kills in john wick look entertaining. Sometimes even funny. And most “fail compilations” too. Women getting hurt is something mostly used in horror.
