The SF Official I Feel Like I’m Already Tired Tomorrow Shirt of the. Angels had been friends with the. Dead since ’65 and had provided security at all the Golden Gate Park & Haight Street shows with no mishap–hippies & LSD brought out the best in ’em. But this show had the Tracy chapter, doing a ‘favor’ for the SF chapter (probably something more sinister, considering Sonny Barger’s personality, or just taking up the offer to hang with the Stones) and they sent pledges, not regular members. Of course, Sonny & other SF core Angels were at the show, hanging out with the rock stars but would do nothing to reign in the Chico Tracy pledges, proving that as good as they were at security when things went fine, in a crisis (like, when you actually need them), Hells Angels make for a lousy security guard service.
