I have bought Hanes men’s beefy short sleeve T-shirts for years, and would like to rate the product 5 stars. According to my personal experience, these kinds of T-shirts are perfect for adult men who like to wear casual t-shirts at home. First of all, the beefy cotton material gives you a sense of comfortability and steadiness. What’s more, all the terrific color options offer customers a variety of choice. I bought these t-shirts, and wear one of them every single day. It definitely gives me a feeling of freshness every time I suit it up. Besides, the t-shirts launder nicely. So far, after the 4th laundry, I have not found any shrink or fade on these t-shirts. With such a quite reasonable and affordable price, I do not think you could spend less money and get a more comfortable t-shirt.

I received these yesterday and I washed them first. Be prepared to use a Shout Color Catcher in the wash. The water turned blue and the Shout Color Catcher turned purple from all the blue dye that came out with the first wash of these T Shirts. After drying them in a dryer, and trying them on, they were just a little tight. I ordered a 2X because I knew they would shrink when washed. I wear an X large T Shirt. With these shirts shrinking after the first wash, they fit as an X large now. It is true they are 100% cotton, but they are not preshrunk cotton when you purchase them. Price was good and the thickness of the T Shirt was good. Having a pocket in the T shirt to hold my eye glass case is why I purchased them. It is hard finding T Shirts with pockets at your local stores. Just remember to buy one size bigger than what you wear.

I bought six of these in XL. I’m 5’9 and 160 lbs. I like to wear my shirts loose, so I opt for the XL which shrinks in the wash to a more manageable size for me. They have no stretch. My sizing experience is probably not a lot of help to others. The quality, however, is great. It’s made of substantial cotton, thicker than most t-shirts like Champion. These things will last me several years.

I ordered a number of these, XL, in different colors. The cut and fit, along with the weight of the material, seems to vary. After the first wash, they shrank considerably, reducing them down to what other tees would be a ‘large.’ On the plus side, they seem to wear well, and with subsequent washings, I’m hoping they will fit just a bit more loosely. I’ve really liked the other Beefy-Tees I’ve had. All in all, I’d recommend these. If one tends toward the smaller of their designated size, they may fit well right out of the gate.

Well made fits great, soft and it is very comfortable. Great quality and I don’t find it to be too thin or too thick. Just about right and what I would expect a T-shirt to be. It is 100% cotton so if you don’t take proper care it’ll shrink. Wash it in cold or warm water, never hot. And air dry it, don’t use hot air drier because it’ll shrink and the color will fade in no time. Just hang it on a hanger like it is folded in half, not by the arms cut and it’ll retain its shape and you’ll enjoy it for a long time.
The deep forest green looks better than on the product photo, wish they had more colors (deep dark) to choose from… if they did I’d buy more.

I love these t-shirts, but there’s something that’s very important to know before ordering. All of the colors are made from 100% 6.1 oz rung-spun cotton except for Light Steel and Charcoal Heather. Light Steel is 10% polyester and Charcoal Heather is 40% polyester. This difference also affects the way the shirts fit. The 100% cotton colors are much tighter. For example, I can wear a Medium in the Steel and Charcoal colors, but I need a Large in the other colors.
Personally, I was surprised to discover that I prefer the fit and feel of the Charcoal best, the Steel second best, and the others least. I had assumed that the 100% cotton would be the most comfortable, but I find I prefer the fabrics with a little polyester in them. They are softer and have a little more stretch to them.
They are all comfortable and durable, and the pockets are large enough to hold my cell phone, pens, business cards, etc. Just be aware of the different fabrics when you order, and consider getting one size larger in the 100% cotton versions than in the cotton/poly blend versions.
UPDATE: I have had these t-shirts for just over six months now, and I’m beginning to notice some pilling in the Charcoal Heather (40% polyester) shirts, but not in the other colors. It may be because I like the feel of them better and tend to wear them more often than the others, or it may be that the 40/60 poly blend is not as durable as the ones with a higher cotton content. I suspect it’s the latter because I have had many 100% cotton Hanes Beefy-T’s for years, and have never seen any pilling in them before.

I just purchased a variety of pocket T shirts by various makers This one is notably shorter than any of the others. Do not buy if you expect to tuck it in. The Dickies were the longest – 8″ longer than this Hanes. The Gildans were 5-6″ longer. I also bought this shirt in green and the length is 4″ longer than these light steel. All seem to be decent builds.

I like the weight of the fabric, definitely a step up from the typical discount store t shirt. The green is what I would call Forest Green. I was looking for something more military green, but that is very hard to find in affordable t shirts. This green is more vibrant and richer in color. But I still like it a lot.
I am borderline Large/Medium, basically a Medium/42 Regular with a middle-age man belly (less than 10 pounds over my BMI overweight line) and this shirt is way too wide and tent like for me.
I will get Mediums from now on.

These T-Shirts are very nice foe the price (2 for $13). However, they are about a half size smaller than I expected. They could be considered a Large “Slim” fit. I bought large, and they are slightly small than the other large t-shirts that I have in my closet. I like a looser fit and these also tug slightly at the back of the shoulder when lifting your arm, but not bad. You won’t be disappointed with the product at the current price point. Just be aware, they are a little small. I gave it a one star rating only because of the fit. I like them and am wearing one of them right now!

Hanes Beefy Ts are the best of all worlds. They are thicker, softer (some colors need a couple washings), hold their shape, and the best value of any t-shirt out there. They come with pockets (husband HAS to have) and really big sizes (3XLT for son.) The colors last, they don’t get a skewed shape after a while, and the tall ones are actually about 3″ longer in the body and about 1.5-2″ longer in the sleeves. Duluth traders are better quality, yes. But, even with coupons loaded onto clearance pricing, they still run at least 3 times the price. I watch for these Beefy Ts when they hit the 2/$9 pricing and load up. My tall son is 6’5″ and they work perfectly.

I had been looking at several local stores for some thick, well-made undershirts for hubby, with no luck. It took me a while to find them on Amazon, as I did not know to look for the “Beefy” style, but these were just what I was looking for. They shrunk a little after washing, but only what you would expect of 100% cotton. They are true to size, super soft, and thick. So far they are holding their shape too. Love them!

The shirt is nice for us larger guys- and the pocket makes for a good place to put my glasses when not needed. The only draw back with the shirt is the tag on the neck line. I do not think I have seen a larger tag on any shirt I have ever bought. Not only one tag but actually two. I cut both tags off one shirt but that only added to the discomfort. On the other shirt I cut the super long tag off and that worked better. But I do have to make sure that the black tag is rolled up under the neck before leaving the house.

Got these shirts for my husband. His work shirts are typically orange or yellow and they are thinner material. They rip and snag so easily (he’s an electrician). These fit him as expected. We went a size up to give him a more comfortable fit as he sometimes has to be in smaller spaces or moving around a lot at work so there is extra material for that! We only purchased the pack of two so we will be buying more (less laundry for me!).

I pictured myself wearing these shirts and looking like a poor man’s Matthew McCaunaghy, or perhaps a Jason Statham without the musculature, and good looks. However, what I got instead were too extreme ends of the fit spectrum. I ordered the medium initially, but it looked like I had been poured into the shirt and forgot to say “when” so I exchanged for a large. They were bigger, in fact, much too big. These fit me about as well as one of Dwayne Johnson’s shirts would fit Kevin Hart. It was terrible.
Very possible that these are a knock off product as other people have insinuated in other reviews.

Believe it or not, men’s pocket T-shirts are not easy to find. My husband only likes T-shirts with pockets and having looked in several stores for them with no luck, I found them on Amazon.com and he was very happy with them when they arrived. They are of excellent quality and have been washed many times without fading or shrinking. I won’t bother wandering through stores again now that I know that I can get exactly what he wants online!

The grey and the dark blue fit perfectly. The dark green was too tight in the shoulders and the chest but the length was fine. Gave to a neighbor that is a size XL and it fit him fine. As the price was so reasonable I couldn’t be bothered to return it. Did not reorder as I have had problems with this product in the same color but in a hoodie before and had to keep sending back. Did not want to go through all that again. It took 3 tries and still was sent the wrong size. Goods marked correctly but actually much smaller than lable. Amazon checked their stock and found a supplier lable error with this product. Ques this is the same problem with the t-shirt.
