Ok just to be devil’s advocate here, RGB doesn’t mean it has to do that disgusting rainbow puke cycle. Like I have 2 channels of RGB on my mainboard so I run a solid green and the 2and channel is the purple accent. It looks pretty nice to me. Back in the day, you had to buy a green light. Or a red fan. Or a blue whatever. But RGB just means you aren’t locked into a specific color motif. Okay, I’m new to building PCs. And just to make sure, RGB is nothing but aesthetics right? Premium Helper Blue 2020 Shirt. They honestly look kinda tacky to me. Like I would much rather have a sleek all-black PC build or a clean white build etc. Then I have my PC and keyboard and mouse. And screen flashing in 75 different colors. It seems more juvenile I guess. My case has 3 large front fans with RGB. A handy button to change settings at will but honestly, I find having the lights off kinda the best look… anything else is at best just distracting and at worst an eyesore. I might turn it on for my 4-year old sometimes though, he likes the colors.

It’s….so beautiful. A case that doesn’t make me squint when I turn it on. Why would you want bright ass lights next to you when you are gaming in the dark, trying to focus. And if you’re gaming in the light, what is the point? I’ll never understand RGB personally I don’t think. But as long as everyone is happy with their rigs, it’s all good. Premium Helper Blue 2020 Shirt. Performance per dollar is being dominated by AMD. And the majority of builds on Reddit aren’t “no compromise” builds. So makes sense in almost every application except that rare scenario. Also as a 19 y/o college kid, I ended up going with an i5-9600k I really only play competitive games that almost entirely rely on single-core performance still. In the end, it ended up being a bit cheaper and simpler to choose parts compared to an R5 3600x build. I honestly just didn’t have a use for the extra threads. I mean for years it was the same way but flipped. Mentioning that you had an AMD processor got you absolutely annihilated. Kind of rightfully so but in the same sense it’s not much different.

He was not talking about GPU bottlenecking due to lower CPU speed… He was referring to the fact that more and more games are really starting to use more cores/threads. (In your use case, I guess you don’t really need that) Premium Helper Blue 2020 Shirt and my 3600 is def a better choice for me. Eg:- Playing KCD, my system generally uses around 5-6 cores, sometimes even 5 cores and two. Hey man, no worries – I’ve always just been happy to see people gaming on the pc that they love with the parts they want. I’ve been an AMD guy forever just because they were the more affordable option. I got put down and made fun of constantly by all the Intel guys. just put it aside cause I was happy with what I had. Right now AMD is really punching back, and it feels good to be a part of the team that’s making some serious progress! But I never felt better than anyone with Intel, I just made the argument for budget and price. I still have plenty of friends that use Intel, and even older Intels – and I’m just glad they have a computer so we can play games together.
