It’s good to prepare but there are jokes and Premium LGBT Flowing Paint Watercolor Shirt memes about how players usually like to latch onto stuff you didn’t prepare for. The joke/meme is that the more you prepare something the fewer likelihood players will spend time on or do. DMing is a lot of fun, there’s a healthy level of preparation like understanding your player’s skills and levels so that you don’t TPK on session 1 while giving everyone the opportunity to shine. Story-wise you just need some hooks, if your players deviate too much it’s ok to stop and tell them, this is all I had for this session.

Crap I remember spending weeks as a teenager drawing a bunch of Premium LGBT Flowing Paint Watercolor Shirt dungeon maps, had a LOT planned out. Players took a huge detour, never went into the dungeon (or any other dungeon I could reuse the maps). They spent a ton of time just going across cities and doing a lot of silly stuff. Fun times. This is excellent! I really like the extra framing with the landscape that most likely won’t get explored (mountains, seas, forest). It makes it feel like you’ve highlighted the important parts but still kept it large for the imagination-space. Really draws me into the world. Great work!
