When that Beavis fire ban was on, I think that’s when they started doing a thing where when they’d watch videos, Beavis would try to light a cigarette but the light would just click and spark. No fire. There was also an episode where Bevis and Butthead went to Stuart’s house and turned the gas burners and were huffing gas in order to get high.

The show is great in general, vastly more clever than Premium The Grand Poobah Shirt minus all the cut scenes. Patrick Stewart is the fucking man. He can play any character from Professor X to the King of England to a crazy coked out deputy director of the CIA. If he needed it, I would give him a kidney so the world could continue to bask in his magnificence for a few more years. It’s pretty mainstream to dismiss Beavis and Butthead. You’re in the majority. Those of us who appreciate its comic genius is definitely in the minority, especially 25 years later, and would like to remain a small fraternity. You’ve hurt no feelings. We don’t have to burn him at the stake but it would be nice if we could do some MRIs and see if we can bind a tumor or some form of brain damage. Maybe he can be cured of what should clearly be considered a mental illness.

The one phrase I heard from Premium The Grand Poobah Shirt. This. Or the one where the guy in the video is running down the street on fire and he’s in a trance going. Ooooh. Ooooh nooo. Then at the end, Butthead asks if he saw it and Beavis acts clueless and is like no way, how did miss that? Mike Judge was a genius with that shit. Pushed the envelope before Family Guy and South Park were even ideas. I consumed all the music of that era. Mostly through this show. We’re talking like in the single-digit of age right before I hit the big 10. I didn’t really like or get the music at the time. But I liked that Beavis and Butthead were talking about it.
