I’m always curious about vintage cars. Pretty Black Cat That’s What I Do I Drink Wine I Hate People And I Know Things Vintage Shirt I knew a fellow who had I think 56 cars, all tagged and insured, and they all run, but he doesn’t drive them anywhere and they’re just sitting in 3-walled shelters outside. I can’t fathom how much money and time they take from his life, but for what return? I try. The longest trip so far was about 300 miles round trip. I’ve been averaging about 1000 miles a year but I don’t drive it in the winter. There are many who buy vintage cars and just trailer them around. Those are the same people with the “look, don’t touch” stickers all over the car. It’s mechanical;

It obviously lacks the safety features and amenities of today’s cars, so for long, multi-day trips, it’s a modern vehicle all the way. My family owns 3 vintage cars. A modern car would get drastically better gas mileage and has far better safety features. So true!! I hate it when it’s time to buy new tires. I have an 04 Yukon Denali (definitely not as good mpg as Prius but way more practical) and Pretty Black Cat That’s What I Do I Drink Wine I Hate People And I Know Things Vintage Shirt it has over 320k miles. Yet to have any major failures, I think the 90s-2000s vehicles will be the ones to last the longest. There are tons of tents and tools and clothes etc that get posted regularly besides just cast iron skillets, people on this sub mostly just want stuff that is worth buying that will also last a really long time.
