The number of people who find this “cute” has always astounded me. My entire life I always was grossed out by dogs like Pugs, Bulldogs, or any breed that sounds like a morbidly obese asthmatic while just walking around. Oh, Reddit loves to hate on pugs! They are never concerned with golden retrievers getting hip dysplasia, Bernese mountain dogs having a super short lifespan, heart issues in cavalier King Charles spaniels. But if you dare post a cute picture of a pug, everyone will start telling you its eyes will pop out of its head and it won’t be able to breathe (I’ve owned 4 different pugs in my lifetime and literally none of them have had any health issues). Although pugs deserve love, its no point in hating on an already existing animal, that can’t be saved. But you can save Dogs’ life by not continuing to buy breeds that are proven to have health issues! Don’t make animals disabled by choice!
