My cat is the opposite if we forget to fill his dish he’ll start to binge and puke. If we keep it full he doesn’t worry about his next meal and will eat in small sessions. If you can’t find that just use a normal plate instead of a bowl. They can’t get as much in because it just falls off the edge instead of pushing up against the bowl. My vet recommended feeding him from a plate instead of a bowl so he can’t use his jaw as a shovel. She also recommended giving him hairball gel because it also helps food… moves along. Both those things have pretty much solved the problem. In your cat eats like this look into feeding toys/ Contraptions to slow them down.
