Rarely do two Full Moon events happen in one month, and it’s happening on Halloween (Samhiam for Wicca/Witchcraft practitioners) 2020. What an event it will be! That’s so frustrating. Full moon and on a Saturday, but who knows whether there will actually be any parties or trick or treating? Great… Now, all we need is for vampires and werewolves to be real! …as if this year wasn’t hellish enough. Can the writers of this season of the earth just stop for a month or two, please?

This year seems to be full of astronomical oddities. Fun fact, the Happy Halloween Mickey Mouse Shirt odds of a Full Moon occurring on Halloween are the exact same odds of a Full Moon occurring on YOUR birthday! I mean, is it really that surprising that an event that occurs once every 29.5 days doesn’t exactly line up with the months which take 30 or 31, and once a year 27/28 days? To be fair; There are a bunch of “coincidences” in the orbits we see, like how just one side of the moon faces the Earth at any given time, but if you know how often a full moon occurs it’s not surprising it doesn’t occur at the same days every year.
