Then I was able to format the drive and it’s working okay now. If I buy a laptop online, it would have windows in it? And is there anything I must do once I have the laptop like making a backup etc? I think taking a backup of OS wouldn’t be required. You would be able to reinstall clean windows with Microsoft installation media, whenever required and the license will be automatically activated upon the first time connecting to the internet. Depends on the windows are pre-installed. Usually, only OEM brands like electronics don’t provide.
